A 27 Years old male patient name S.D visited the clinic dated 21-07-2024  For a complaint of kidney stone since 15-07-2024.  That time he had pain in his right flank, nausea and reduced appetite. The surgeon advised him for immediate surgery which he denied and came to homeopathy for seeking natural relief. The patient had never taken homeopathy and had bit belief in this pathy but he had no choice to escape from surgery.

Another complaint was frequent acidity with a frequency of once in 15 days.

Recent Ultrasound was done on 15-07-2024 stated that There were 10.2 mm calculus at right PV junction causing moderate back pressure changes.

Family History :

His father had a past history of renal calculus.

Physical generals :

Patient’s appetite was poor and his Sleep was disturbed due to physical complaints.

Mental Assessment  :

On mental assessment, it was found that the patient was in financial worries from few days which were causing anxiety. Patient was competitive by nature, he was very much image conscious. He was ambitious with calculative mindset.

Treatment :

After taking her physical complaints & Mental assessment into consideration, Lycopodium 200  single dose was prescribed and follow up was scheduled after 15 days.

1st Follow-up ( 04-08-24)

Patient visit the clinic in agony. He had severe burning micturition which was intolerable. He was not nauseated now and his appetite was improved. He did not have any episode of acidity in past 15 days.

He was advised to repeat ultrasound to look into his complaints. Patient did the ultrasound on same day.

The ultrasound shown that the 10.2 mm calculus was descended from PV junction to ureter which was causing him burning micturition, which was a good sign.

Rx : He was again prescribed Lycopodium 200 single dose and advised to drink plenty of water.

After 2 days :

We received a call from patient with a happy news that his stone has evacuated naturally through urethra and he is out of pain now. Patient sent us the picture of his 11mm calculus for our reference.

That made our day too…..

 

Conclusion :

From this case study we can conclude that Homeopathy has the potential to treat surgical cases like Kidney stone if given at right time in right potency with right Homeopathic physician.
