Introduction
Having specialized in homeopathy, I have encountered several paranoid disorder cases in my time. Paranoid disorder, also called paranoid personality disorder, is a mental health condition that is characterized by persistent and irrational distrust and suspicion of others. My intention with this piece is to share my knowledge and experience by providing a comprehensive overview of paranoid disorder, including its causes, symptoms, treatment options, and the benefits of homeopathic medicine.
Causes of Paranoid Disorder
I find it really difficult to point to the exact cause of paranoid disorder as it remains undetermined according to my clinical observations. Nevertheless, the following factors might play a role in its onset:
Genetic inheritance tendencies
Childhood trauma and abuse
Infections in the environment
Smooth operation of neurobiological circuits
Various cultural and social issues
Symptoms of Paranoid Disorder
In my practice, I have met the following symptoms in paranoid people:
People do not have any trust in others when they envy and suspect them, especially those who are trying to harm or deceive them.
A tendency not to confide in others has also been a consistent habit among my patients with paranoid disorder.
Finding faults in many people and failing to forget those faults is another common paranoid disorder patients' habit.
They are also encountered to be in a state of mass hallucination, wherein the individual thinks that somebody as simple as their friend or co-worker is out to harm them when in fact nothing dangerous or threatening has been said.
The over-reactions of the individuals or manifestation of anger and other battle like reactions the patient may express in response to the thoughts he/she may have
It sometimes happens that they feel their partner is not really committed and they are not sure if their partner is cheating on them or not or there are other people outside the relationship who are cheating
Disadvantages of Allopathic Treatment for Paranoid Disorder
Although allopathy treatments can temporarily ease some discomforts, I noted some downsides:
Side effects of antipsychotic medications
The possibility of getting dependent on drugs
Tending towards the management of symptoms rather than the root causes
Temporary or no relief for some patients
Long-term medicines have high costs.
Benefits of Homeopathic Treatment for Paranoid Disorder
My clinical practice suggests homeopathy has multiple levels of treatment opportunities:
It looks at the person holistically and tries to solve the problem rather than address the symptoms.
By diagnosing the fact that each patient has its unique pattern of symptoms, I can provide the exclusive medication or treatment strategy for them
Drug-related illnesses are non-existent and these drugs do not lead to addiction.
Because of a more in-depth investigation, reversing the condition becomes a real option, the patient may actually get well and heal.
It is affordable if a long time is given for nourishing medicines.
It is a kind, gentle, and non-intruding style of medicine
Detailed Description of 10 Homeopathic Medicines for Paranoid Disorder
Lachesis: I utilize Lachesis in my clinic; I observed that it is very effective in patients with extreme jealousy and suspicion. Besides, it is a great remedy when a person is much worse after sleep. Patients are usually feeling tight and may feel like someone is poisoning them when they have this disorder.
Hyoscyamus: A person who has inappropriate sexual behavior and the catatonic patient, it has proven to be effective for them with hyoscyamus. My practical work has shown the best results in case of symptoms becoming worse in the evening.
Stramonium: By and large Stramonium is the medicine for those types of patients with rage that takes on a brutal and dark core, especially when it is a fear of the dark. It also is good for those who has visual and hearing hallucinations always threatening their lives.
Veratrum Album: This is the medicine that the patients have who have to feel all-powerful alongside paranoid thinking. The drug I find is the most appropriate where not only the patient becomes restless but also breaks into cold sweats.
Anacardium: I have found Anacardium to be an excellent form of medicine to aid patients who feel a split in their personality. It's useful for people with low self-esteem combined with persecutory delusions.
Arsenicum Album: This remedy is mostly for the patients who endure the agony of a very high level of anxiety and the sense of being alone. I witnessed the most significant changes on those who were very critical and they were driving everyone mad by pushing every object into its own place and the room had to be clean all the time.
Calcarea Carbonica: Among other methods, I prefer to use Calcarea Carb to antiaggressed patients who tend to be thoughtful, slow, and are afraid of getting mad. It's particularly effective when there is the insecurity of routine and environment.
Natrum Muriaticum: Especially for people who are very sensitive to rejection, I usually give this NATRUM. This is applicable for the aggrieved who always struggles to forgive and trust others.
Kali Bromatum: I usually use Kali Bromatum among all medication to the person who has persistent, unwanted thoughts and is so restless and scared. I noted the best effect where the fear of contamination was the main issue.
Platina: In the course of my practice, I have gotten good results of Platina on patients who imagine themselves to be more important than others (or who have an exaggerated self-concept alongside their paranoid thoughts). It's far most preferable when there's interaction with people who are not essentially on the same level or lower.
